Ridgeview Church is excited to offer an additional option for worship on Saturday nights at 6pm. Saturday Night Services will afford an opportunity to those in our community to hear God’s Word, fellowship with other believers, and intentionally advance God’s kingdom.
Last Fall we launched our Saturday Night Service at Ridgeview Church. We have been blessed to see God bring new families into our church through this service and to offer an evening worship service alternative to others.
From the beginning, the vision behind this new service has been to see more people come to know Christ and “unchurched” people find a place of connection in a local church body. As we have been praying for God’s continued leading in pursuing this vision, we feel led to make some exciting changes to our Saturday Night Service to make it even more effective.
Beginning November 5th, we will be relaunching our Saturday Night Service at 6pm in our Fellowship Hall with the intention of it being the “Same but Simpler”. What does that mean? It means: interactive teaching in a more intimate and informal setting, acoustic worship, monthly fellowship meals, and small group prayer opportunities. We will continue to offer children’s ministry on Saturday nights.
Acts 2:42 says that the Early Church, “continued steadfastly in the apostle’s doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers”. As they lived out their faith in this manner, they saw God move in powerful ways in and through His people adding “daily those who were being saved” (Acts 2:47). As we simplify and go a little more “first century church”, we are praying for more of God’s presence and power in our worship service.
We invite you to join us (and invite an unchurched friend or family member) on November 5th as we launch our “Same But Simpler” Saturday Night Service at 6pm followed by a fellowship dinner (suggested donation of $5 per person with a max of $25 per family).
