| OUR SYSTEM |

Once you are serving on a team in the worship department you will be integrated with an online scheduling system called Planning Center.

What is Planning Center?
Planning Center is an Internet based application that we are using to plan all services and schedule all the people needed for any ministry event.

What will Planning Center do for me?
It will integrate with your Cell Phone (text), Internet, Facebook, Google Calendar/Outlook Calendar or ical by giving you instant access to your volunteer ministry schedule. It also gives you and the ministry team you are apart of a unified and interactive system of communicating with the Worship Pastor or your Ministry Leader about any Services or events that Ridgeview has scheduled.

We have found Planning Center to be most convenient for scheduling all volunteers because it gives you the ability to communicate with us by accepting or declining a service request for any of our services. If you are unfamiliar with Planning Center and how it works, don’t hesitate to ask for help. We will ensure that you are trained and that you feel comfortable as we serve together.

So What Do I Need To Do?

1. Once receiving a welcome email watch the Planning Center Tutorials
2. Click the Setup your Password tab
3. Login to your account
:: Enter Your Cell (enable Texting)
:: Connect Your Calendars (link it to your Computer or PDA)
:: Connect Your Facebook (receive schedule notifications)
4. Set your schedule preferences
:: Under ASSIGNMENTS| enter how frequently you would like to be scheduled?
5. Enter Your Block-Out Dates
6. Download the PCO Application to your phone

| OUR PROCESS |

Our Process for serving is accomplished in 3 stages CORE | CHARACTER | CRAFT

CORE | We’d like to evaluate your CORE understanding of the Bible and how it relates to worship
and also evaluate your ability to communicate that to others when leading in a Biblical
expression on and off of the platform.

CHARACTER | We’d like to know about your CHARACTER. There are several ways that each of
our character is determined, and one of the ways is that we ask of you to attend at minimum 1 month of rehearsals. Thursday rehearsals begin at 7:00pm and go till 9:00pm. Sunday run-through begins at 7:30am and ends at 8:15ish. You are more than welcome to hang-out with us and meet some of the team during this time.

CRAFT |  The craft evaluation or training is intended to gauge your strengths & weaknesses as a team member and is helpful to us in determining how you may or may not fit onto a team.

1. Core, Character and Craft Evaluations are not a direct indication of one’s calling in the Kingdom of God or to ministry in the Kingdom of God. Evaluations are designed to help identify my specific strengths & area’s of improvement within the worship      ministry of Ridgeview Church.
2. Evaluation results may be discussed with the Senior Pastor, Elders and administrative staff of Ridgeview Church.
3. Prior leading experience will be taken into consideration but will not be a determining factor in team placement decisions.
4. Placement decisions will be made in conjunction with the vision of Ridgeview Church and the Ridgeview Worship Department. This group decision is based on the criteria of Core, Character & Craft.

For the CRAFT evaluation you will be playing with a click-track, a Guide Track, an in-ear unit and the accompaniment of the music on the Mp3’s of the Evaluation Practice Music you downloaded online. Please know that we are primarily concerned about helping you and it is our desire that you wouldn’t be nervous or feel fearful on the night of the evaluation. We try to create an atmosphere for you to be confident and feel that you are sharing in your giftings in a safe environment of assessing your strengths as a worshiper. For that reason, it will just be you, Pastor Jeremy and the team leader in the sanctuary for the evaluation.

If you find that the process of being evaluated is something that you don’t enjoy; then you will not enjoy serving on the team consistently as we are always evaluating our craft in excellence of worship, musicianship, consistency and adaptability. Also, we don’t want to raise false hopes in you, so we ask all participants of the evaluations to be prepared to hear that we are not going to be placing you on the worship team. Please understand that completing the application and evaluation does not guarantee that you will be placed on the worship team. We sincerely pray that you’ll have peace and fun while learning the evaluation songs.
