Student Ministry

Youth Pastor: Brian Rushing

Ridgeview Student Ministries (RSM)
Our society and culture bombard young people with all kinds of messages. This makes it tough to filter through and discern the right path for one to follow. We want to help our students find and follow the path that leads them to an understanding of the reality of Jesus Christ, His Kingdom, and how their lives fit within it.
RSM is intentional about meeting and connecting with students where they are, no matter where that is. We desire to build lasting relationships that will challenge them to personally engage and respond to the truth, reality, and message of Jesus Christ! Connections and relationships are formed and developed strategically through worship services, small groups, discipleship opportunities, monthly events, outreaches, retreats, camps, and a whole lotta fun!
As young people encounter Christ through RSM, we will see them know Jesus, grow in their faith, and change the world in which they live!

Ascent Middle School (Grades 6, 7 & 8)

Sunday Service (10:45 am)
Middle schoolers gather in The Back Parch for a time of teaching in God's word. This is designed with them in mind…providing opportunities to grow in their faith, play a part, and bring their friends!

Wednesday Groups
Middle school small groups help students build relationships with each other and Jesus! Group leaders facilitate discussion in a way that gets the students talking and learning to apply God’s Word in their lives today. Participants meet from 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Back Porch and begin with a time of worship before moving into age/gender specific groups. For more information, contact the church office at office@ridgeview.net.

Events
Monthly events give middle school students time to hang-out, have fun, and grow in their faith! Events may be for Ascent Middle School only, while some will give them opportunity to join with The Ridge Youth, and others may be through their designated small group.

The Ridge Youth (Grades 9-12)

Students gather at the back porch (small white building across the parking lot on the north side of the campus) for a time of teaching in God's word. This is designed with them in mind…providing opportunities to grow in their faith, play a part, and bring their friends!

Axios (From College to Marriage)

As teens begin to transition into adulthood after High School, they still need connection within the local church. This is why Axios exists. We want to help them realize their place in the Body of Christ while they journey into a world of new responsibilities, influences, and challenges.
Why Axios? In the early church, it was a term shouted at the ordination of ministers and meant the individual was worthy. For us, Jesus appoints His followers to be priests and ministers. He has made us worthy to go forth and spread His Gospel message to the world! Axios is worthy to impact this world with the love and light of Christ!

Small Group
Axios meets as a small group every 2nd & 4th Friday of the month from 7pm-8pm at The Back Porch. Following a time of study and discussion around God’s Word, they usually go hang out at local establishments for food and connection.

Lunch
The first Sunday of the month, Axios joins together for a free meal following the 10:45am service in our Fellowship Hall. It’s a great way to meet some other college-age, young adults and enjoy a great lunch!

Events
Axios will offer monthly events to continue to join together to build relationships while having fun and serving the community. Events will vary on dates and times.
