COVID-19 Updates

Wednesday, March 11th, 2020 | News, What's Happening Now |

March 17, 2020

Dear Ridgeview Family,

The Apostle Peter penned the words below to a dispersed and discouraged church to encourage them and bring their focus back to God’s Word and caring for one another.

“Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.” (1 Peter 1:22–25, NKJV)

As many of you already know, yesterday the President advised all Americans  to avoid groups of more than 10 and urged older adults and those at risk to stay at home in a set of new guidelines designed to fight the spread of the coronavirus. Ridgeview Church leadership has decided to follow this advisement. Our response to this situation is not based on fear, but on love and consideration for our church members and community, and respect for government authorities. Being guided by these principles, for at least the next two weeks, we will livestream our weekend services through our Ridgeview Church Facebook Page. Please tune in from home Sundays at 10:00am. After the livestream, the video of these services will continue to be available on our FB page. We will prayerfully consider returning to our regular Sunday services on April 5th, but this may change as we continue to monitor the impact of COVID-19. In addition, Wednesday night Adventure Kids and the Wednesday night meal for ministry servants will not be meeting for the same period of time. Pastor Brian will be in contact in regards to youth events and online services. If you are in a small group or Bible study, be on the lookout for information from your group leaders.

The church office will remain open Monday-Thursday, 9am-5pm, and Sunday from 11:15am-12:00pm. Pastoral staff will be on-site to offer prayer, support, and encouragement during those times.

While these temporary-but-necessary changes are unprecedented and can be a bit unsettling, we are confident that the Lord will continue to bless His people and grow us in ways unforeseen as we continue to minister the Gospel one to another.

We also want to thank you for your continued financial support of the ministries here at Ridgeview. We are committed to helping many in our body, community, and the world with their needs in this uncertain time. We are grateful for the way you have expressed your “sincere love of the brethren.”

Ridgeview Pastoral Staff

Ridgeview Family,

As a leadership team, we are closely monitoring the recommendations of government agencies and health care professionals regarding the current spread of Coronavirus (COVID – 19). At this time, we have no plans to close our church campus or cancel any of our weekly gatherings. Please rest assured that Ridgeview Church is committed to taking the appropriate measures to mitigate the risk of the illness spreading through our services or events. These measures include:

·  Our facilities are being deep-cleaned on a regular basis, including the regular cleaning of objects and areas that are frequently used, such as bathrooms, door handles, railings, and everything in the children’s areas including the toys.

·  We have increased the number of hand sanitizer locations throughout our facility.

·  During our ‘meet and greet’ time we will be encouraging everyone to wave or nod as a way of greeting each other.

·  Our door greeters are also encouraged to wave or nod as a way of greeting guests.

·  We will be using individually sealed/prepackaged communion elements for the current season.

If you are not feeling well or are unable to attend service, you can watch our service live online on Sundays at 10 am on our Ridgeview Church Facebook Page. In addition to that, you can watch the sermon on our Facebook page any time after the livestream airs or listen to it through the Ridgeview App.

Most importantly, let’s remember that God is fully in control and that we have the opportunity to demonstrate our faith in Him through this season. The most repeated command in the Bible is ‘Do not be afraid’. Although it is wise to take precautions, we should be hopeful in situations like these. Many of our neighbors are fearful right now and God may use us to bring them some hope and encouragement during a time when they really need it. Join us as we pray for our community leaders and anyone who has been affected by this virus. Through much prayer, we are seeking the Lord for His protection and guidance as we prepare for all on and off-campus events.

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

For now, we will continue to meet at Ridgeview for our weekly gatherings and services. As we continue to monitor the situation, we will post ANY updates on this page. We are looking forward to a great Sunday of worship as we continue our series in Exodus!

In Christ,
Matthew Geisinger
Lead Pastor

Growing in Grace Mentoring Ministry

Growing in Grace is a ministry for women that intentionally develops friendships among women of different generations. Women invest in the lives of each other through encouragement, guidance, listening, laughing and loving. The goal is to form strong and lasting relationships that are a source of support, growth and strength.  If you would like to be a part of Growing in Grace, whether to be a mentor or mentee, please download, fill out and turn in the Mentor Profile sheet.

2019 Important Dates & Information

Mentoring– to give wise and trusted advice; to act as an encourager and teacher

Mentoring takes place when a person of experience helps someone discover more about themselves, their potential and their capability.

Our Vision– to encourage women as they cultivate their relationship with God.

“That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:2-3

Our Mission– Mentoring is a ministry that intentionally develops relationships among women of different generations.  Women invest in the lives of each other through prayer, learning God’s Word together, encouragement, guidance, listening, laughing and loving.  The goal is to form strong and lasting friendships that are a source of support in our relationship with Christ.

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity.  Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18

“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not malicious gossips or slaves to much wine.  They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be dishonored.”  Titus 2:3-5.
