COVID-19 UPDATES

July 2020

With the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in our region and communities, we wanted to remind you that we as a church will continue to encourage social distancing and to take measures to mitigate the risks related to the spread of the virus. We also continue to encourage you to stay home and join us for service online if you are not feeling well, have been in close contact with a COVID-19 positive individual, or if you are in a high-risk group.
Ridgeview Church Reopening Update

We have been praying Psalm 91 over our church family this week:

1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

We pray that you are experiencing God’s presence, peace, and provision during this time of adversity and uncertainty.
While there continue to be challenges related to this global pandemic, we are encouraged as we see many hopeful and positive signs on the horizon.

This week, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that there will be a carefully thought-out and methodical process for reopening Texas businesses beginning May 1.

Many of you have asked, “How does the governor’s recent announcement affect Ridgeview? When will we begin meeting together again? When will we get to go to church?”

Our greatest concern is for the safety and well-being of our Ridgeview family, our guests, and our community. We want to honor and respect our governmental authorities and the advice of medical experts as to when it is safe to return to corporate worship. We also want to be cautious as to when we begin meeting in person, so we can avoid any setbacks.

For now, we plan to continue holding our Sunday services online at least through May 10th. We will also continue offering children’s, youth and group ministries online. While we sincerely miss fellowship and worship together, we are grateful that our online services have enabled us to continue to worship as a church body and that we have seen a significant increase in the number of people we have been able to reach. We encourage you to join us online for the next couple of weeks as we continue our series “God’s Top Ten List”.

On Sunday, May 10th at 6pm, we will host an outdoor or “in your car” Worship and Prayer Night at Ridgeview on the back field. Come join us so we can worship and seek the Lord “together” at the church.  We will also celebrate our Moms!

We are here for you!  If you have physical, financial, or spiritual needs please email us at office@ridgeview.net or call us at (972) 771-2661.

In the coming days, as the situation evolves and regulations change, we will provide additional updates. We pray that God continues to give you a clear sense of His presence and blessing in your life.

In Christ,

Pastor Matt Geisinger
