Deacon
My name is Carl Barnes. I have been attending Ridgeview Church for 17 years. I have been serving since attending this church. It is a blessing and privilege to serve in Christ’s house. Deacons are the hands and feet that Christ uses in His house to serve His people.

I accepted Jesus into my heart in the summer of 1977 at the age of 12, but really didn't have a strong relationship with him until I reached 27 years old. I have been married to my wonderful wife Janna since 1992. We have been blessed with 3 children, and 6 grandchildren. My wife and I have been attending Ridgeview since 2014 and it has been a spiritual experience ever since. I am the Childrens Deacon working with a fantastic group of people who has a passion teaching children about Jesus. Also involved in VBS, plus the Director of Evening in Bethlehem that is a drive-thru event 2 weeks before Christmas. My heart is into serving others which is a true blessing to me, Romans 12:11 states, "Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord." My desire is for the Lord to do His will in my life and to continually change me, so, my life verse is, Psalms 139:23-24, "Search me. O God and know my heart; Try me and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting."

My wife Jen and I are Texas transplants. We moved here in 2014, and have been attending Ridgeview since 2015. Having four daughters, I am a girl dad through and through. When I’m not supporting my girls at a dance competition, I enjoy being here, serving in multiple ministries alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ. I am currently serving as Deacon of Media. Our goal with media ministry is to share God’s word with as many as possible - through various social media platforms - thus furthering our mission to win, disciple, and send.
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” Romans 8:38.

Gilbert Davila

My name is Gilbert Davila. I was born in Dimmitt TX, raised in CA and retired in Union Valley, TX. I have been married to my bride Anette for 23 years. Together we have seven children and are blessed to have seven grandchildren with another one on the way! We have been attending Ridgeview Church since 2021. Anette and I currently serve the Lord as greeters in first service. Our goal as greeters is to make everyone feel welcomed and loved. I also serve in the Men’s Forge Ministry and the Marriage ministry. One of my favorite scriptures is found in Philippians 4:6-7 “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God. v7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” I am honored and blessed to serve in the house of the Lord called Ridgeview church.

Tony Thompson
Deacon
I grew up on the north shore of Lake Tahoe in the small town of Tahoe City with my wife Kathy. I accepted Jesus into my life in my teens and Kathy shortly after college. We’ve been married since 1999 and have two boys, Luke and Matthew. My hobbies include flying and working on airplanes, hiking, skiing and anything in the mountains. I volunteer with Civil Air Patrol, FAA Safety Team and other various groups/charities. We've attended Ridgeview since 2018. God has given us a passion to help people through the loss of a loved one and grief. We’ve been blessed to facilitate groups like GriefShare and Christian Survivors of Suicide Loss (CSOSL) throughout the Dallas area. Both Kathy and I have completed studies through the Association of Biblical Counselors. Our life verse is 2 Corinthians 1:4; “...so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

Tony Frasier

I was saved in 1971 and grew up attending First Baptist Church – Rockwall. My wife, Melissa, and I got married in June 1993 and joined Ridgeview Church the very next week. We have served in various ministries through the years. I currently serve in the parking lot ministry and Melissa serves on the worship team. My goal each week is to find new faces and make them feel welcome. My life’s verse is Romans 12:2 – “Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Austen Wagner
Deacon
I am a Dallas native and have always had a desire to serve others since my youth. My wife, Tonya, daughter, Delaney, and I have been a part of Ridgeview Church since 2020. I strive daily to gain a deeper understanding of God’s word and how to apply it in my life by keeping his commandments in my mouth and in my heart (Deuteronomy 30:14). I serve on the audio/visual team for the main service on Sundays and Wednesday nights in youth. I have the privilege to serve as a small group leader for the high school boys as well. I know the Lord sees praise and worship as a heartfelt expression of adoration, reverence, and gratitude. I work to the best of my ability with the worship team to bring a sound that will be pleasing to the Lord and showcase the individual talents He has bestowed upon the worship team members. Psalm150:1 “Praise the LORD! Praise God in his sanctuary; Praise Him for His mighty firmament!” One of the verses that I live by is from Deuteronomy 30:19-20 “I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day: I have put before you life and death, blessing and curse. Choose life—that you and your offspring would live— to love יהוה your God, to obey his voice, and to cleave to him; for he is your life, and the length of your days.”
